Rohit Sharma scored an unbeaten 121 in the final ODI at the Sydney Cricket Ground, seemingly confirming that he and Virat Kohli may not tour Australia again. Before the series, many questioned whether the duo had enough fuel left for another World Cup run in 2027. However, the two legends silenced critics with a classic performance - stitching together an unbeaten 168-run stand for the second wicket as India comfortably chased down 237 with nine wickets in hand and 69 balls to spare.

Right after India’s win, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli spoke with Adam Gilchrist and Ravi Shastri on Fox Cricket, where they revealed that the three-match series was their final outing on Australian soil.

“I’ve always enjoyed playing cricket in Australia. This place holds fond memories for me, right from 2008. Finishing with that knock and a win makes it even more special,” Rohit said.

He added, “I’m not sure if we’ll be coming back to Australia again, but it’s been a wonderful journey. There have been highs and lows, but overall, I’ll cherish all the cricket I’ve played here.”
