Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are not playing in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 after retiring from T20 internationals post the 2024 World Cup. On the other hand, Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam have been dropped from the squad due to a dip in form and falling out of favour with the selectors.
Hong Kong’s Babar Hayat, with 2,269 runs in 97 T20Is, has also been included in Brett Lee’s all-time XI. Former Indian captain MS Dhoni secured his spot, while all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who is part of the current Indian squad, has also been named.
Ex-UAE spinner Amjad Javed, Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga, Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan, UAE’s Naveed, and Pakistan’s Haris Rauf have all been included in Brett Lee’s all-time T20 Asia Cup XI. India’s premier bowler across formats, Jasprit Bumrah, has also earned a spot in the side.
The eight-nation Asia Cup, which started on September 9, is being played in the T20I format this year. So far, three matches have been completed, with Afghanistan, India, and Bangladesh claiming victories.
